Introduced to
Harlequin®
romances by my grandmother, I went through Junior High waiting for
the next visit to "Mommie's" house. There, I'd search through the
inside cover corners for checkmarks, aunt's initials, and my
favorite phrase: Okay for Angi. That's right, my aunts and
grandmother censored which stories I could read.
Reading gave me a love for the
Harlequin®
name and story. I still have a lot of those books on my keeper
shelf. I keep reading and thinking
romance, falling in love with the “Happily Ever After” for
each hero and heroine.
At my high school reunion, no one was
surprised to hear I was writing full-time. Writing is a
passion I never want to outgrow.
I've been writing steadily for a few
years now. Getting "the call" has to be one of my most exciting
moments of this decade. My agent gave me the news, then a call from
my editor. WOW isn't a big enough word to express how stunned I was
throughout both conversations. Hill Country Holdup will be
on shelves in September 2010.
